Biography
Jeff started at Mid-City in 2021 as a Site Safety Manager. He ensures that all PPE, procedures, and equipment are all adhering to the safety guidelines of the site, controlling contractor, and OSHA. With a very diverse professional background, Jeff brings a robust perspective to the safety team. Jeff learned about construction at an early age. He took his first job out of high school as a welder and worked for a hardware, lumber and building supply yard. He also worked in roofing and carpentry fields. In 1994 he moved to Michigan where he took a job with General Motors as a shipping and receiving tech/fork truck driver. He left GM and transitioned into the Facilities/Maintenance field as Facilities Director in a 100-bed long term care facility. In 2010 Jeff began a secondary career in the fire service which he is still very much involved in today as an active Firefighter, EMT and Fire Safety Inspector. He is also passionate about and leads and manages the
fire prevention program for the Mount Gilead Fire Department. Around 2014 he accepted a position of Site Safety and Emergency Management Officer for OhioHealth where he oversaw safety and EM for several facilities including Marion General Hospital and Dublin Methodist Hospital. Outside of work, Jeff stays busy with his wife, three biological children, and two foster children. He also coaches his son’s baseball team, plays the drums, fishes, hunts, mountain bikes and just loves being outdoors.
